Scandalize My Name (1921)

Mezzo-soprano Amanda Finch sings Harry T. Burleigh's concert spiritual "Scandalize My Name," accompanied by Alex Nguyen. This spiritual both celebrates and critiques the complexity of everyday social relations.

Finch and Nguyen performed as a part of the Harry T. Burleigh Society tribute to Burleigh's Annual Service of Negro Spirituals on Friday, March 31, 2017 at St. George's Church in New York City.
