Artist Relief Fund in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic
In spring 2020, the Burleigh Society enacted an Artist Relief Fund in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Out of admiration for Harry T. Burleigh’s support of artists during his lifetime, and with serious concern about the impact of the virus on the performing artists, the Society fundraised over $75,000 to offer support artists. The Burleigh Society gave an unrestricted, non-taxable, four-figure grant to each artist who had performed with the Burleigh Society.
